A Jefferson County sheriff's deputy was charged with a DUI wreck that injured three people, authorities said. Investigators with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agnecy say Shamonte Lanfair, 34, was off-duty and driving her patrol vehicle with its emergency lights flashing -- but no siren -- when she ran a red light in Center Point on Oct. 8. The patrol SUV collided with a car, which in turn hit another vehicle. Three people, including a 15-year old, were injured. Lanfair was booked on charges of first-degree assault, and is free on $30,000 bond. Sheriff Mark Pettway has not commented on the arrest.
