Fannie Mae is moving office from San Francisco to Birmingham, Sen. Tommy Tuberville announced Thursday. The senator said he worked with President Trump and Fannie Mae's director, Bill Pulte, to accomplish the move. Noting that Fannie Mae is one of the largest mortgage financiers in the world, Sen.Tuberville said "these great jobs will help re-establish Birmingham as the leading financial hub of the South." The relocation is expected to bring "hundreds of jobs," Tuberville said. There was no immediate word on a timetable for the move.
